We recommend all families attend our discipline-specific information sessions at the beginning of each season. Your discipline Program Director or Head Coach will communicate the program orientation schedule for athletes in all other programs.

Returning Members: Update your communication preferences

1) Open your most recent Constant Contact email from the Competition Center.

2) Scroll to the bottom and click “Update Profile” at the bottom of the email. This will prompt an email to be sent to you to update preferences.

3) Click the link to Update Profile in the email titled "Update your Profile"

Log In to the Member Portal

The Competition Center Member Portal (SkiClubPro) is your home base for registration, payments, communication, and season management. Families, athletes, coaches, and staff use the portal throughout the year to stay connected and manage program information.

Through the Member Portal, you can:

• Register for Competition Center programs

• Complete payment during registration—all in one place

• Add and update parent/guardian and athlete contact information

• Update medical and emergency contact information

• Manage communication preferences

• Choose whether to be included in the Member Directory or keep your information private

• Access contact information for families who opt into the Member Directory

• Choose whether to share athlete contact information

• Receive registration confirmations and important program communications

• Review and sign required waivers and codes of conduct

• Select training days (when applicable)

• Indicate competition attendance plans, including:

  • Competition dates

  • Transportation needs

  • Lodging requests

  • Estimated travel expenses*

*Some post-event adjustments to travel dues may be necessary and will be communicated by Competition Center staff.

Optional discounted Trestle Bike Park season pass is sold separately during the online registration process. Only Trestle Gravity Team program participants are eligible for the Trestle Bike Park discounted season pass.

The Winter Park Resort offers a discounted rate on Winter Park Resort season passes for Competition Center winter program participants that are in winter youth or adult programs that run 10 weeks or longer and have a minimum tuition of $1000. Please review Ikon and Winter Park Resort pass options available at www.ikonpass.com to determine the best pass options for you and your family.

There are no Ikon pass upgrades on the Competition Center Winter Park pass option. If you would like access at other Ikon Pass resorts, please purchase an Ikon Pass product. For Ikon Pass information or to purchase the Winter Park Resort pass through the Ikon Pass portal, visit www.ikonpass.com.

If you purchased a full price Winter Park Resort pass prior to registering for the Competition Center program and our pass is available at a lower rate, we can refund the difference between the two pass prices as long the change is processed before your original pass has been used. Pay over time With Affirm

Winter Park offers a convenient new payment option with Affirm, a third-party option that allows you to buy now and pay over time. Select Affirm at checkout and choose to split the payments over 3, 6, or 12 months.

Your rate will be 0–36% APR based on credit, and is subject to an eligibility check. For example, a $700 purchase might cost $63.25/ mo over 12 months at 15% APR. Payment options through Affirm are provided by these lending partners: affirm.com/lenders. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required.

IMPORTANT! SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR AFFIRM

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS – Affirm Not available

Please note that we CANNOT apply scholarship funds to Affirm payments. After completing program selection in SkiClubPro or using your SkiClubPro email confirmation letter, click the “Scholarship Applicant Payment” link in Step 2: Payment or access the link from your Program Selection confirmation email. At this link, you will be able to pay for the parent volunteer deposit, and if applicable, the Competition Center’s discounted Winter Park Resort season pass (no Ikon Pass upgrades).

The Competition Center Athlete Support Fund, a designated fund of the Grand Foundation, was established through a donation from the Winter Park Ski Education Foundation and the Grand Foundation. This fund supports athletes for programs offered by the Winter Park Competition Center. The Fund provides both merit and need based support to athletes to develop lifelong enjoyment of mountain sports and help them reach their potential. For some, this may include fulfilling their dreams of becoming a world-class competitor or Olympic champion.

Funding Guidelines

Award amounts are determined based on the applicant’s Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) - with any non-cash business expenses added back. Households with an AGI below $60,000 are eligible to receive an award covering 60% of the program cost. Those with an AGI between $60,001 and $120,000 may receive 30% of the program cost. Applicants with an AGI between $120,001 and $180,000 are eligible for 15% of the program cost. Households with an AGI above $180,001 are not eligible for funding. Individual award amounts not to exceed $4,000.

Merit based support is awarded regardless of income for elite level athletes based on athletic performance and/or costs associated with travel required to compete on the global stage. Merit based awards are recommended by Competition Center coaches, separate from this application process.

• Any awarded funding is paid directly from the Fund to the organization providing the program and/or services. The Fund cannot pay individuals directly.
• If an applicant receives duplicate funding for a request, the Fund monies must be returned.
• The Fund will accept applications up to twice per year per athlete, once for summer programs and once for winter programs.
• Requests for programs already completed will not be considered for funding. (The Fund cannot reimburse for fees or programs.)
• The advisory committee will make a decision upon completion of committee meetings and all applicants will be notified of funding decisions. Any changes to the approved grant request must be discussed and reviewed with the committee prior to any use of granted funds. Notifications of approvals and/or declines will be given within a month of the application deadline.
• The committee looks for commitment from either the parents and/or guardians for a portion of the total cost of the program being supported. Total program cost submitted must EXCLUDE the parent volunteer work deposit and reflect tuition less any discounts or other funding received.
• Requests not following the Application Requirements and Fund Guidelines will not be considered for funding.
• Applications and Data are confidential and only reviewed by the Grand Foundation. All financial information is shredded following a grant cycle.

Founded in 1962 as the Winter Park Ski Club, the Winter Park Competition Center is one of the oldest and most respected snowsports clubs in the Rocky Mountain region. In 1979, the club became an experimental program within Winter Park Resort before being fully integrated into resort operations in 1982 as the Winter Park Competition Center.

For more than 60 years, the Competition Center has helped athletes of all ages build confidence, develop lifelong skills, and pursue excellence—from first-time competitors to Olympic athletes. Today, the Competition Center offers year-round programs in skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, providing professional coaching and progressive training opportunities for athletes at every level.

A Unique Partnership with Winter Park Resort

Unlike most ski clubs, the Competition Center operates as part of Winter Park Resort, providing athletes with unique access to the mountain, its operations team, and world-class training venues. This partnership supports exceptional year-round programming and competition opportunities while allowing the Competition Center to host high-level regional, national, and international events.

The Competition Center is also supported by the Competition Center Athlete Support Fund, a designation fund of the Grand Foundation, which helps provide scholarships and financial assistance to athletes and families.

An Olympic Legacy

Since Winter Park Resort began managing the Competition Center in the early 1980s, athletes who trained, competed, or finished their development at Winter Park have represented the United States—and other nations—at every Winter Olympic Games.

More than 50 Competition Center athletes and dozens of coaches have advanced to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team and NCAA collegiate programs, continuing a tradition of excellence that spans generations.

• Todd Lodwick – Five-time Olympian and Olympic Silver Medalist in Nordic Combined

• Toby Dawson – Olympic Bronze Medalist (Freestyle Moguls)

More recently, Competition Center athletes have continued that tradition by representing their countries at the 2022 Beijing and 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games in Freeski Halfpipe, Freestyle Moguls, and Snowboard Cross.

We recommend that you attend the Colorado Competition Council's (C3) Gear Day, typically scheduled in September and/or our Ski + Board Swap in October.

Powdertools Snowboard Shop offers special discounts for snowboard team athletes. We can also put you in touch with a few of the reps that are also Competition Center coaches.

SUMMER PROGRAMS

HELMETS
Wearing a helmet is mandatory for all programs and competitions. If you are unable to attend our information sessions, please talk with your child’s coach or program director about specific equipment needs for his/her program.
