This out-and-back woodland path features small, nature-inspired installations highlighting the natural environment of the high-alpine forest. Located along the Lower Roof of the Rockies trail, the experience invites hikers of all ages to slow down, look closely at the forest terrain, and enjoy simple moments of discovery along the mountain summit.

Additional Details
- Access to the trail is via the Scenic Gondola, the fairy trail is located on the Lower Roof of the Rockies trail.
- There is no cost to access the Alpine Fairy Trail
- The trail is roughly 2.4 miles, approximately 1.5 - 2 hours, however the fairy magic can be found in the first 0.75 miles prior to the creek crossing.
- We recommend starting the trail no later than 3pm (Sunday - Thursday) or 5pm (Friday & Saturday) to enjoy the full length and be able to ride down on the Gondola by 5pm or 7pm.
- Please note that this natural dirt path follows raw mountain terrain and is not stroller or ADA accessible.

Ride the Scenic Gondola to the summit, then follow the road to the left. Continue downhill as the road bends gently to the right toward the Alpine Fairy Trail entrance, where the Fairy Trail Guide sign marks the beginning of a world of small wonders.
The trail passes through shared biking and hiking areas, so please stay alert as you wander. Follow the trail markers along the way, duck under the bridge when you reach it, and use extra care at road crossings.
Take your time and soak in the mountain scenery as you go! This out-and-back trail lets you turn around whenever you're ready. The fairy magic ends at the creek crossing, though you're welcome to continue toward Fantasy Meadow for even more sweeping alpine views.
And don't forget to look again—the smallest surprises are often the easiest to miss.
