Have your child progress with the same group of kids and instructor each week in the 4-Week Lesson program. 4 days of full day group lessons on 4 consecutive* weekends. All ability levels are welcome. Lessons are available for kids ages 4-14. For additional information view the Helpful Information section below.

Helpful Information

Q: What is served at lunch?
A: A kid friendly food. Pizza, Mac and cheese, Chili, Pasta, etc. Meals vary daily.

Q: What is an appropriate tip for an instructor?
A: Tips/gratuity are not expected but very much so appreciated. Generally, 15 to 20 percent of the purchase is price is suggested. Tips can be given directly to instructors by cash or Venmo. Cash and credit card tips can be left with guest services.

Q: Can I request an instructor?
A: No, the only way to request and guarantee an instructor is to purchase a private lesson.

Q: What does my child need to show up with?
A: Please make sure your child is dressed and ready for a day in the snow! Warm base layers, wool socks, gloves or mittens, neck gator, jacket, and snow pants. Goggles and helmets are required! We will stop for snacks, water, and bathroom breaks throughout the day!Ski or snowboard equipment as well as lift access will need to be brought to the on-snow meeting area.

Q: Will there be a waitlist for sold out dates?
A: No, we will not be running a waitlist for sold out sessions. We recommend signing up for another date.

Q: Can a first time skier/rider take a full day lesson?
A: YES! Full day kids group lessons are offered for all ability levels.
Lift Tickets are required for all lessons. Lift Tickets are not included but can be added on to a lesson for a discounted rate.

$80 ages 4 - 6 (4 daily lift tickets on lesson days)
$216 ages 7 - 14 (4 daily lift tickets on lesson days)

Ski or Snowboard equipment is required for all lessons.
Helmets and eye protection are required for all lessons.

Rentals are not included with a lesson.

Saturday and Sunday sessions meet at 8:15am dressed and ready for lesson, begins at 8:30am.
Friday session meets at 8:45am dressed and ready for lesson, begins at 9am.
All age groups will meet at Sorensen Park.



Information regarding absences for multiweek lessons.

Lessons begin promptly at their scheduled times. Any child that arrives late will not be allowed to join their lessons for the day and will not receive a make-up lesson.

Should a child miss the first lesson in a session, they can either be enrolled in regular group lessons for the following days or switch to a different session. After the first week, no children can join the multi-week session. Any price differences will need to be paid in order to reschedule.

In the event of an absence, one make-up lesson can be offered per session ONLY with proof of a doctor's note. Any other absence will not warrant a make-up lesson or partial refund.

To receive a make-up lesson, please email kprograms@winterparkresort.com with a doctor's note. With a make-up lesson, the child may receive a regular full-day group lesson to be redeemed on any date in the season. Make-up lessons must be scheduled at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
Every child in Ski + Ride School will be equipped with a GPS unit. At the end of the day instructors will hand out a Flaik code to parents and kids who can then go online to flaik.com to track vertical feet and map runs. Type in your child’s code, the date, and hit the “Relive your day” button.
Instructors can carry any medication/epi-pens in a specially marked pack with a form filled out by parents with specifics about the medication. Instructors cannot administer any medication but will call Ski Patrol if the Child cannot administer it.

Lunch is included in all kid full-day lessons. Please inform instructor of any food allergies.
Guests can cancel sessions penalty-free up to 7 days in advance of session start date or rebook for a later session. Purchases become non-refundable 7 days prior to session start. There is no rebooking fee and price differences will be charged. Guests who are not able to use purchased product in the current season may request a resort credit that may be used within a year. Requests for modifications to dates and/or packages after 9am MT day prior to arrival can be requested by emailing kprograms@winterparkresort.com.
