Calling all first timers! This is your invitation to explore and play at Winter Park in a judgment free and welcoming environment. Finding a new passion can be intimidating, we get it, but with our world class instructors we are here to help make your learning experience not just enjoyable, but confidence building, giving you the skills to take on tougher terrain in no time. So if you're down to get out this winter season, you're in!

This package includes what any first timer needs to enjoy their first day on the mountain: A half day group lesson (3 hours) for skiers and snowboarders, lift access, and equipment rentals. This deal is available for both kids (age 4 & up) and adults who are first time skiers or snowboarders.

One all day lift ticket is included with the purchase of First Timer Learn to Ski / Snowboard package for one participant.

Lift tickets are required for mountain access.

Ski or snowboard rentals are included with the Learn to Ski / Snowboard package for one participant. Rentals can be used for the entirety of the day of the lesson.

Learn to snowboard equipment includes: snowboard, boots, helmet

All Winter Park rentals include a helmet. Helmets and eye protection are required for all child lessons.
As a first timer being prepared is the best way to ensure your experience is fun and enjoyable.

What to wear in the mountains.
Every child in Ski + Ride School will be equipped with a GPS unit. At the end of the day instructors will hand out a Flaik code to parents and kids who can then go online to flaik.com to track vertical feet and map runs. Type in your child’s code, the date, and hit the “Relive your day” button.
Instructors can carry any medication/epi-pens in a specially marked pack with a form filled out by parents with specifics about the medication. Instructors cannot administer any medication but will call Ski Patrol if the Child cannot administer it. Please inform instructor of any food allergies.
Guests can cancel lessons penalty-free up to 7 days in advance of arrival or rebook for later in the season. Purchases become non-refundable 7 days prior to arrival. Up to 9am MT the day prior to arrival, purchases may be rebooked for a different date during the current season. There is no rebooking fee and price differences will be charged. Guests who are not able to use purchased product in the current season may request a resort credit that may be used within a year. Requests for modifications to dates and/or packages after 9am MT day prior to arrival can be requested by emailing kprograms@winterparkresort.com.

The Learn to Ski / Snowboard Package is available for first timers ages 4+. Adult lessons are for ages 15 and up, and kid lessons are for ages 4-14. The age group for a specific lesson will be shown when selecting a date in the booking bar above.
