King of the Grommets®
Do you want to win the bragging rights of being the King of the Grommets® at Winter Park Resort?
For groms (youth) ages 15 and under, the ski and snowboard slopestyle competition held in the winter and the junior gravity mountain bike races held in the summer are an awesome opportunity for boys and girls to discover the fun of competing on intermediate terrain found in Winter Park Resort terrain parks and Trestle Bike Park.
KING OF THE GROMMETS® Junior Gravity
rich-textModeled after the long-standing winter King of the Grommets® Slopestyle competitions for skiers and snowboarders, we're proud to offer a summer version of this popular, grass-roots competition for groms ages 15 and under! This is a great way for younger downhill athletes to experience gravity racing with the technical terrain.
The courses consist of the Roly Poly (green trail) and Paper Boy (blue/black) trail. All levels are welcome.
This competition is open to the first 100 competitors so pre-registration is recommended.
The fastest time determines the winner.
$25 per racer

Important note: If you have raced in any of the Trestle Gravity Series races over Labor Day weekend, you are expected to use the same plate you were already issued. If you have misplaced your plate please contact the Competition Center office before 7 am.

KING OF THE GROMMETS® SLOPESTYLE
This is a great chance for young slopestyle skiers and riders 15 and under to compete in Re-railer terrain park.
Slopestyle is a winter sport in which athletes ski or snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps, and other terrain park features.
This competition is open to the first 75 competitors. No day-of registration. Registration will close when we reach capacity OR at noon on Friday before the event, whichever comes first.
Format: There will be two heats of competitors. Review the event program for full details. Each competitor will have two runs (weather permitting). The highest of the two run scores will be used to determine official results.
