The WPCC Fulltime Academy is a year-around highly intensive program dedicated to the serious, motivated and experienced racer. Our program offers a forum where dedicated athletes can achieve their highest aspirations in sport; while at the same time not forgetting our program philosophy of “to achieve ones’ highest potential as an athlete, person, and competitor”. The team trains regularly September through April with several optional summer camps and projects both on and off snow. Participants also take part in supervised dryland sessions throughout the entire year.
Winter training takes place in the afternoons on Tuesdays through Thursdays, and all day Fridays through Sundays. (East Grand Middle School students train the aforementioned days except for Wednesdays.) Middle school and high school athletes enroll in the East Grand School District or alternative education programs where schedules are arranged for core classes to take place in the morning, and student/athletes are transported to the ski area at lunch time for afternoon training. East Grand is on a 4-day school week, so skiers have a full day of training on Friday - it doesn't get any better!
Post graduate athletes will have the opportunity to train on weekday mornings for more individually focused sessions. On-snow training in Colorado begins in late October off-site and the first weekend of November at Winter Park. Training takes place mainly on our FIS homologated race trails, but we have access to a variety of venues all over the mountain to simulate other venue’s environments.
Deadline to submit the application for the Team Academy is July 15th. Written notification of your status in the WPCC Academy will be emailed back to you by July 25th.
Deadline to register for the WPCC Academy is Aug. 1st with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% of program fees will be due by Oct. 1st.
Late applications and registrations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. There will be $100 late fee for registrations received after Aug 1st.

We recognize that many of our athletes come from the Front Range and we are committed to providing sensible additional optional programming for our weekend athletes who are unable to make the commitment to our Alpine Team Academy. This year we are in negotiations with the areas closest to the Front Range. We will update this page and send info to our members when we know all the details of the optional programming on the Front Range.
