WHAT TIME DO LESSONS START?
Full Day lessons meet at 9:15am and are on the mountain by 9:30am. Full Day lessons run from 9:30am to 3pm and include lunch. Fast Track 5 lessons meet at 11:30am, and run from 11:45am to 2:45pm. Both Full Day and Fast Track 5 lessons are available for booking online and/or over the phone at least 7 days in advance. Lessons are also sold day-of, if space is available.

CAN I DROP-OFF MY CHILD EARLIER THAN 9:15AM AND PICK-UP LATER THAN 3PM?

Yes. Early drop-off is available from 8:00am and late pick-up is available until 4pm. The cost of each session is $15, and includes activities and a snack. Early drop-off / late pick-up may be purchased in advance online or the same day of your lesson at the Kids Center lobby.
Drop-off and pick-up are in the Green Room (third floor of Kids Center).

CAN MY CHILD SKI WITH FRIENDS?
Your child may be able to ski with friends or family when desired. Please inform the staff when you check in that you would like to your children to ski together. We ask that when two children are not of the same ability or age group that the two children are placed in the lower ability level or younger age group.

WHAT IS SERVED AT LUNCH?
We serve a variety of kid friendly lunch options. The children have at least three main dish options per day and a variety of sides.
The menu may change from day to day. You may pack your own child's lunch if you wish.

IF MY CHILD HAS A SPECIFIC MEDICAL CONDITION, WHAT IS THE STAFF TRAINED FOR?
While instructors cannot administer any medication, they can carry any medication/epi-pens in a specially marked pack with a form filled out by parents with specifics about the medication. Children must be able to administer medication themselves, or parents can arrange to meet the class at lunch. In an emergency Ski Patrol can administer epi-pen medication.


HOW DO I LOOK UP MY CHILD’S FLAIK INFORMATION?
Every child in Ski & Ride School will be equipped with a GPS unit. At the end of the day instructors will hand out a Flaik code to parents and kids who can then go online winterparkresort.com/flaik to track vertical feet and map runs. Information will be available by 5pm the day of the lesson.

SHOULD I MAKE A RESERVATION FOR MY ADULT LESSON?
Yes, this will ensure that you have a lesson for the day. We may fill up during Holiday/Peak times in our Adult Group Lessons.

CAN MY CHILD TAKE AN ADULT LESSON?
Adult Lessons are for guests 13 years and older. Adult Lessons are not as supervised as our Kids Lessons. Students are free to leave the class at any time they choose. The instructor will ask the students to come down the mountain with them at the end of the class, but do not require the student to do so. We recommend that you choose a meeting place for you and your child at the end of the day.

WHERE DO I REGISTER FOR ADULT LESSONS?
If you are renting equipment at the resort, you may pick up your lesson voucher, lift ticket and rental equipment at Winter Park Resort Rentals. Regardless of the rental location you chose during your purchase, you may collect your rental equipment at West Portal Rentals from 8am – 5pm, or Village Rentals from 8am – 9pm.

If you do not need to rent equipment, you may pick up your lesson voucher and lift tickets at any Winter Park Resort Rentals location, West Portal Station, the Children’s Center, or Village Rentals. If you have children and you are arriving the day before your lessons, the Village
rentals location is recommended for all of your needs (2pm – 9pm).

WHERE DO ADULT LESSONS MEET?
Adult Full Day and Fast Track 5 Lessons meet at the Ski School Bell, located at the base of the Arrow Chairlift at the Winter Park Base.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE MEETING AREA?
All lessons meet 15 minutes prior to lesson start time, in order to discuss your goals and expectations with instructors to facilitate appropriate level placement.

WHAT TIME DO LESSONS START AND END?
Full day lessons meet at 9:15am and last 5.5 hours from 9:30am to 3pm. Lunch will be provided at one of our on-mountain restaurants. Lunch locations may vary. The Fast Track 5 lesson program is offered daily and meets at 11:30am. Lessons run from 11:45am to 2:45pm.

IS LUNCH PROVIDED DURING ADULT LESSONS?
Lunch is provided during the Full Day lesson at one of our on mountain restaurants. Location and menu varies daily.

WHAT CLOTHING SHOULD I BRING?
Weather can change quickly on the mountain, so layers are best. It is a good idea to have waterproof pants, coat and gloves, along with Sunglasses or Goggles and 1 pair of tall socks (ski or snowboard socks recommended). Also, remember to apply sunscreen. Remember – the weather at the top of the mountain will be colder than the weather at the bottom. Many of these items are available for rental or purchase at the Winter Park Resort Rentals Village location.
