First Timers

Since 1947, the Winter Park Ski & Ride School has offered the best lesson value for beginners. We want you to fall in love with the sport that we fell in love with ourselves. Our Full-Day Salomon Learn to Ski™ and Burton Learn to Ride™ beginner programs are truly the best way to develop the skills you will need to maximize the mountain. Arrive later in the day? Capitalize on our afternoon introductory class, Easy Start. Available to both skiers and snowboarders, Easy Start is a half-day lesson introducing you to the basics of the sport. After your first day on the slopes consider our Beyond Beginner lessons to continue your development.

LESSONS FOR 1ST TIMERS: FULL-DAY

All adult lessons meet at the Arrow chair lift at least 15 minutes before the lesson.

The Easy Start program is available on a limited basis and can only be purchased at a resort ticket window. All adult lessons meet at the Arrow chair lift at least 15 minutes before the lesson.
