Alpine U10 Team

U10team

AGES 8-9

The U10 age group is usually the first step towards "Fun"damental skill building and learning about racing. This group of skiers will learn the skills necessary to navigate the mountain.  These free-skiing skills will build a tremendous amount of confidence. In turn, they will be able to bring this confidence into structured gate training and racing environments. Throughout the season the U10 age group will have skills based progressions preparing them for gates and drill courses while setting them up for success as they move through the alpine pipeline.  The competitions of the U10 group consist of home events such as "The Raging Age Class Team Series," specific U12/U10 USSA events and Youth Ski League events.

Scientific studies and the USSA Alpine Training System (ATS) suggest training 2-3 days per week is ideal for this phase athlete.  Our addition of Friday training allows us to more closely follow the ATS.  All of our training will focus on fundamental skills, emphasizing fun, basic agility balance and coordination.
