Early Education Center

Early Education Center

"Educating the whole child for a happy, healthy future."

Our Mission
We acknowledge that social-emotional development is the foundation for all learning. As educators, we believe in developmentally-appropriate practice for all of the children in our care. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment where children develop social-emotional skills, engage in fine and gross motor activities, participate in outdoor experiences, and prepare for Kindergarten through a variety of academic games, materials and activities.

Our center has a blended philosophy. This gives us the freedom to take what we feel are the best, most appropriate strategies and components from a variety of curricula. Our basis is the Creative Curriculum and we incorporate Pyramid Training, Handwriting Without Tears and The Incredible Years. Coming soon, we will be also using parts of the Project Learning Tree. Additionally, we are participating in Ages and Stages (ASQ-3) screening process to make sure we are addressing children's developmental needs on an individual basis.

The Center
Infant Room: 2 months – 18 months
Your infant will enjoy individualized care from our staff as well as circle time, tummy time, arts and crafts, stories, and music enrichment. The room is equipped with a new wall to separate movers from non-movers, all new cribs, a sensory table for explorations, a stroller for walks outside, and climbing mats for gross motor development. We also offer rocking chairs and Boppys for nursing mothers. When weather is nice, infants can play on the playground or deck area.

Toddler Room: 18 months – 3 years
Your toddler will enjoy year-round outside play, arts and crafts, circle time, stories, songs and music/movement enrichment. To help your little one have success with bathroom skills, there is a child sized toilet and sink in the room. The room is also equipped with a stroller for walks outside, sensory exploration materials, and a wide variety of fine motor manipulatives. A Duplo table and a train table provide opportunity for cooperative play.

Preschool Room: 3 years – 5 years
Your preschooler will enjoy Kindergarten readiness activities and instruction, arts and crafts, center time, circle time, year-round outside play, and music and movement. Child-sized toilets help your little one develop independence in the bathroom. The room is equipped with a dramatic play area, a sensory table, and a variety of developmentally appropriate materials to promote creative play with purpose. Activities outside the center include gymnastics and swim lessons at the Fraser Valley Recreational Center, ski lessons at the Resort, Denver field trips to the Zoo, the Botanical Gardens, the Children's Museum, the Aquarium, and a variety of in-county field trips.
