FREESKI TEAM - PARK + PIPE
The Freeski Team - Park+Pipe is the program for the athletic skier looking to improve their skills in park and pipe and still get in some sweet powder and all mountain skiing. The Freeski Park + Pipe programs are offered as a 1-day, 2-day, and Full-Time program. The emphasis on all mountain training enables athletes to develop a strong foundation that is critical for adapting to the variety of challenges that terrain parks present. It is our belief that great park skiers must have exceptional skiing skills. Focusing on progression, safety, and fun, the freeski team will spend much of their time training in any of the parks Winter Park offers based on skill level. Learning the fundamentals of sliding boxes and rails will further their acrobatic skills in half-pipe and slopestyle.
To join this program athletes are expected to be able to hit 3.1 (first jump) in Dark Territory safely. Athletes will develop their skills in a park that is suited to their level enabling them to progress in a safe and appropriate environment. Helmets are required during all sessions. Summer training camps at Steamboat Springs water ramps and Mammoth in June for on snow are available to further the individuals training goals (these camps are not included in the program fee).
