All Terrain Development Program (ages 6-12)
The All Terrain Development Program (ATP Devo) is a 14-week ski program geared toward skiers aged 6 to 12 who are of intermediate ability or higher. Emphasis is placed on overall skill development in a low-key, fun environment. Skiers will be exposed to freestyle, park & pipe, racing and all-mountain fun. Groups of roughly eight children with similar abilities will work closely with an expert Competition Center coach toward skill improvement. Basic skills of balance and body position will be emphasized within the framework of different disciplines and terrain. Competition opportunities will be provided but are not required.
The All Terrain Development Program is a great stepping stone to other Competition Center programs in alpine or freestyle programs. The highest goal of the ATP Devo program is learning ski fundamentals in a fun environment, with an emphasis on skiing as a life sport.
Prior to participation in this program:
-At a minimum, skiers should be able to get on and of the lift unassisted and be able to stop and make wedge turns on blue terrain.
-Skiers who do not meet these requirements or cannot commit to a 14-week program should consider one of the Ski and Ride School's shorter multi-week programs. Click here for more information about Ski and Ride School programs.
